Red Cross Water Safety
Instructor Class (WSI)
The Red Cross Water Safety Instructor class trains you to
not only teach swimming skills, but also teaches the
philosophy and standards to become a representative of the Red Cross. A competitive swim background is
helpful but not necessary. Your strokes must meet Level IV standards,
including front and back crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, elementary backstroke
and butterfly. This comprehensive course includes Red Cross Fundamentals in Teaching (FIT) course. You must
schedule an appointment for prequalification before registering. Attendance at all classes is required.
We reserve the right to cancel if we don’t get a minimum enrollment.
No class is scheduled at this time.
